Gorey Geary… 10th season… Infielder… Aquinas High School… Graduate of UW-La Crosse where he was their starting shortstop… Cory has anchored the infield from his shortstop position and will do so again in 2017... Finished with a .303 batting average in 2016.

Ben Levendoski… 9th season… Infielder… De Soto High School… Graduate of UW-La Crosse… The only player on the present roster that has played every position in the field… Ben had limited playing time in 2016 as he assumed the head coaching duties of the Blues… But, he had one of his best years at the plate, finishing with a .321 batting average… Will be back playing full-time in 2017.

Jeff Raasch… 7th season… Outfielder… Westby High School… Graduate of Western Technical College with a criminal justice degree… Jeff had another solid year in 2016, both defensively and at the plate, finishing with a batting average of .315.

Ben Faga… 3rd season… Infielder… La Crosse Central High School… Four-time letter winner… Honorable Mention All-Mississippi Valley Conference sophomore year... First Team All-Mississippi Valley Conference junior year... MVC Player of the Year as a junior... Second Team All-MVC as a senior... First Team All-District and First Team All-State junior year... Attends UW-Stevens Point and playing baseball… Led the team in at-bats in 2016 with 121 and rbi’s with 30… Finished with a BA of .298. Looking for him to have a solid season in 2017.

Kody Larson… 3rd season… Catcher/Right-Handed Pitcher/Infielder… De Soto High School… 2013 WBCA District III All District First Team and WBCA All-State Honorable Mention with a .493 BA… All-Conference along with being selected two-time player/pitcher of the year… Currently attending Southwest Minnesota State University and playing baseball… Kody had a solid season in 2016 with 92 at-bats and a .359 BA… Will be interning with the La Crosse Loggers in 2017 and will miss some games.

Alex Robson… 3rd season… Infielder…Westby Area High School… Graduated 2014… 2 year starter WAHS… 3 year starter Westby American Legion Baseball…First Team All Conference 2014… 2 year letterwinner WAHS… Alex attends UW-La Crosse and is a starter on the baseball team… Alex had another solid season in 2016, finishing 2nd on the team with 113 at-bats and had a .310 BA… Led the Blues with 31 rbi’s… Will be a leader on the team in 2017.

Brock Rude… 2nd season… Left-Handed Pitcher/Outfield… Onalaska High School… Went to Riverland Junior College for 2 years and is now attending UW-La Crosse and is playing baseball there… On All-La Crosse Tribune team in high school… Had an excellent first season with the Blues, pitching 42.2 innings with and ERA of 1.69 and had a BA of .322 in 59 at-bats… Should have another strong season in 2017.

Damian Wiblin… 2nd season… Left-Handed Pitcher/Outfield… La Crosse Logan High School… 2015 graduate of UW-Superior where he also played baseball… Had limited playing time due to job commitments in 2016, but finished with a BA of .425 in 73 at-bats… Led the Blues in mound appearances with 11 and compiled 52 innings with an ERA of 2.77 and a 4-0 record… Also plays solid outfield and should have another solid season in 2017.

Jensen Hinton… 2nd season… Catcher/Infielder… La Crosse Logan High School… Attending UW-Oshkosh and playing baseball there… Very versatile and can play multiple positions. Had limited playing time in 2016, as he also played legion ball with the La Crosse Northstars. Will be playing fulltime with the Blues in 2017… Finished with a .319 BA in 69 at-bats… His versatility will be called upon in 2017.

Ross Withington… 2nd season… Outfield/Pitcher… Westby Area High School… Selected to the South Team for the 2015 WBCA All-Star Games, to the WBCA All-District First Team (West Central District) and to the WBCA All-State Third Team… Ross attends Rochester Community and Technical College and plays baseball there… Batted .271 in 85 at-bats in 2016… Plays solid outfield and look for him to have an improved season at the plate for the Blues in 2017.

Alex Schulte… 1st season… Right-Handed Pitcher… La Crosse Aquinas High School… Attends UW-La Crosse and plays baseball there… Earned three letters in baseball in HS… All-MVC First Team his senior season… MVC Pitcher of the Year… Third-team All-State… Will give the Blues added depth on the mound and also can play some positions other than pitching.

Lucas Warren… 1st season… Outfielder… La Crosse Central High School… Lucas graduated from Central in 2009… 2nd Team All-Conference as a sophomore… 1st Team All-Region as a sophomore… 1st Team All-City as a sophomore… 2009 MVC First Team and 2009 WBCA All-State First Team… Played college baseball at Winona State… Will provide some extra punch in the Blues batting rotation.

Nate Heili… 1st season… Infielder… Sheboygan Falls High School… Nate earned four letters in baseball in HS… Two-time Eastern Wisconsin Conference Player of the Year and two-time second team All-State… Two-time first team All-Conference… Attends UW-La Crosse and is a starter on the baseball team… 2016 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III All-Midwest Region Third Team and All-WIAC First Team… Hit .389 and lead UW-L in stolen bases… Will solidify the infield for CCV and strengthen the batting order.

Drew Tschumper… 1st season… Infielder… West Salem High School… 2016 Coulee Conference First Team and WBCA 2nd Team All-State… Attends UW-La Crosse and is a redshirt on the baseball team… Will give the Blues added depth and versatility in the infield.

Sam Prissel… 1st season… Outfielder/Infielder… Eau Claire Memorial High School… Earned three letters in baseball in HS, All-Big Rivers Conference First Team as a senior and hit .405… Attended North Dakota State University before coming to UW-L… In 2016 at UW-L, played in 21 games and hit .310 with 29 at-bats… In 2017, Sam batted .265 with 170 at-bats and led UW-L with 4 triples… Will bring power at the plate and depth in the outfield to CCV in 2017.
